NABCEP is now offering an extension on Board Certified recertifications and Associate renewals that will expire over the next 7 months. Due to the COVID-19 national emergency and the postponement of the 2020 NABCEP CE Conference, NABCEP Board Certified Professionals and Associates who are due for recertification or renewal on or before November 15, 2020 may fill out a COVID-19 Hardship Form to have their NABCEP Board Certification or Associate credential expiration dates extended to December 15, 2020.
The extension will be at no cost to Board Certified Professionals or Associates, and the extensions are meant to give individuals more time to meet their continuing education and industry experience requirements. The extension will allow NABCEP Board Certified Professionals and Associates to maintain their certifications and credentials over this time, as well as keep their names on the NABCEP Professional or Associate Directories, and receive updated digital badges that reflect the extension. Read more about requesting an extension here.
If your NABCEP Board Certification or Associate credential will expire soon and you’re having trouble meeting the requirements, please download and submit the COVID-19 Hardship Form in your recertification or renewal application.

NABCEP is proud to announce that it moved the 2020 NABCEP Continuing Education Conference to a virtual learning management platform in response to the risks posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. NABCEP’s new learning management platform was developed on Instructure’s Canvas software, and it will focus on renewable energy training and industry engagement. The 2020 NABCEP CE Conference was hosted from September 9th to September 24th, and all of the webinars and content were recorded live during the CE Conference and are now available on the platform.
The virtual 2020 NABCEP CE Conference included our regular offerings and opportunities for engagement, including technical training sessions, panel sessions with subject matter experts, a keynote speaker, and space to connect with sponsors, exhibitors, and trainers from across the globe. The agreement with Instructure enabled NABCEP to create and manage a learning management platform in a visually stimulating and engaging virtual environment that delivers an effective, educational, and fun-filled event.
In addition to participating in the live event, all attendees will have access to on-demand recordings for one (1) year within the new platform. NABCEP believes that our partnership with Instructure, which is the industry leader in online LMS development with 30 million global users, will enable solar industry newcomers and professionals to expand their potential, amplify their impact, and be stronger lifelong learners while helping NABCEP achieve its mission of improving quality assurance in the renewable energy industry.
