The PV Resource Guide is an excellent resource for those planning to take the NABCEP PV Installer Professional Certification Exam. Authored by Bill Brooks, PE and Jim Dunlop, PE, the Guide follows the main topic areas in the NABCEP Certified PV Installer Job Task Analysis. Please Note: While it remains a useful study resource, NABCEP Resource Guides should be used in conjunction with the primary resources used to develop the exam.

The Solar Heating Resource Guide presents some of the basic cognitive material that individuals who install and maintain Solar Heating systems should know and understand to prepare for the NABCEP solar heating installer examination. The Resource Guide, based on a job task analysis for the solar heating system installer, includes the eight major job/task areas for installing solar water heating and solar pool heating systems, and also contains sample exam questions with an answer key. Please Note: While it remains a useful study resource, NABCEP Resource Guides should be used in conjunction with the primary resources used to develop the exam.

Primary references are publications that are cited as references during examination development. There are a number of references used for the development of the Certified PV Installation Professional exam. They are listed below. One of the primary references for the NABCEP® PV Installation Professional exam is the 2011 National Electrical Code®, NFPA 70 (NEC®). Please note: this is the only reference permitted in NABCEP® examinations and is supplied by test administrators.
