We are pleased to announce that Rebekah Hren has been elected to the NABCEP Board of Directors. Rebekah is a North Carolina licensed electrical contractor, NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installation Professional, and PV instructor and curriculum developer for Solar Energy International and the NC Clean Energy Technology Center.

Rebekah’s focus is PV design, installation, maintenance and Code-compliance inspections for system of all sizes. She has worked as an owner’s representative for utility-scale solar farms since 2009. Prior to 2009 she installed residential-scale PV systems as Vice President of Honey Electric Solar. Rebekah has co-authored two books: “A Solar Buyer’s Guide” and “The Carbon-Free Home”, and frequently writes technical articles for PV trade magazines.

The Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring that NABCEP offers credentials that are relevant, meaningful, and offer value to practitioners and consumers. Both the NABCEP Board and staff are looking forward to working with Rebekah in her new capacity.
