PV Squared Achieves Prestigious NABCEP Company Accreditation
Greenfield Solar Installation Company Is One Of Eight Solar Companies In The Country To Achieve Company Accreditation By North American Board Of Certified Energy Practitioners
Greenfield, MA — PV Squared, an employee-owned and Certified B Corp solar installation company headquartered in Greenfield, Massachusetts, has just received Company Accreditation by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABECP). The accreditation is awarded to companies that meet a rigorous set of standards around installation, employee training and qualification, safe work practices, and customer accountability. PV Squared joins seven other Accredited Companies, and is the first company located in New England.
Company Accreditation is the highest recognition of quality assurance for solar installation companies in the US. “This accreditation is proof that we are actually performing to the standards by which we hold ourselves accountable,” said the company’s General Manager Stacy Metzger. “Since we launched our business in 2002, we’ve focused on delivering a custom designed, high-quality, long-term renewable energy solution to homes and businesses in Western Massachusetts and the surrounding regions. This is evidence that we are delivering on those promises.”
NABCEP was founded in 2002 a mission “to support, and work with, the renewable energy and energy efficiency industries, professionals, and stakeholders to develop and implement quality credentialing and certification programs for practitioners.”
Achieving NABCEP Company Accreditation program has been a shared goal for several years and is the result of collaboration across every team within the company. The accreditation process was itself an opportunity to learn, refine, and grow best practices among a broader community of highly qualified solar installation professionals. “As a local company and a worker-owned cooperative, it’s absolutely essential that we are able to objectively assess the impact we are having in the communities where we work. The NABCEP Company Accreditation provides us with tools to measure that impact. At the end of the day, we’re confident in the work we’ve done,” added Metzger.
PV Squared is a local leader in the field of solar design, installation, and maintenance. PV Squared has provided renewable energy solutions to a range of clients, including business owners, commercial property owners, farmers, academic institutions, and homeowners since 2002. PV Squared currently employs 42 people, 19 of which are co-owners of the business. In 2016, they completed 188 projects in the Pioneer Valley and surrounding areas, installing 2.5 MW of solar power.
