The NABCEP PV Technical Committee has a number of key responsibilities in the operation of the Solar PV Installer Certification. The first is its responsibility for maintaining and updating the Task Analysis to keep it current with technological and regulatory changes within the PV industry. Therefore, it is NABCEP policy that the Task Analysis be reviewed by the PV Technical Committee to keep current with changes to the National Electric Code which is revised every three years.
Secondly, a subset of the PV Technical Committee is charged with reviewing and updating the actual PV Installer Examination to keep it aligned with the PV Task Analysis. Another subset of the PV Technical Committee is responsible for reviewing and updating the PV Study Guide (revised April, 2009) to keep it aligned with the PV Task Analysis.
