NABCEP makes every effort to accommodate renewable energy practitioners seeking an installer certification by providing examination sites throughout the country. However, it is not economically feasible for us to provide an examination site in every community. NABCEP selects examination locations in centrally convenient locations that will most efficiently accommodate the greatest number of candidates.
NABCEP periodically assesses the patterns of applications and registrant locations for the certification exams. The certification exams require facilities that are compliant with the American for Disabilities Act needs of test-takers, meet NABCEP’s security criteria, accommodate the expected number of test-takers, and have a professional proctor available to administer the exam at the site, among other test center criteria.

If you are eligible to take either of NABCEP’s Installer Certification Exams, you must fill out and submit the Exam Scheduling Form for Paper & Pencil Exam at least 43 Days prior to the exam date.
The NABCEP PV Technical Sales Exam is a computer-based exam administered at testing centers across North America. If you are accepted to sit for the NABCEP PV Technical Sales Certification exam, please submit the Exam Scheduling Form for Computer-Based Exams at your earliest convenience and at least 43 days prior to the exam date.
