The mission of NABCEP is to create quality credentialing programs for installers and practitioners in renewable energy technologies. NABCEP creates quality credentialing programs utilizing industry accepted standards for accreditation bodies. NABCEP’s first certification program, established in 2002, was the Solar PV Installer Certification. And in 2006, NABCEP finalized its Solar Thermal Installer certification program. In 2011, NABCEP changed the name of this certification to NABCEP Solar Heating Installer Certification.
In following the mission of the organization, NABCEP is always seeking to create new credentialing programs that will satisfy and benefit a significant number of stakeholders within the industry: policy makers, practitioners and consumers.
In 2010, NABCEP released the PV Technical Sales and the Small Wind Installer Certifications. You can find more information about these certifications by clicking the respective links in the left-hand toolbar.
